How do I contact The Androscoggin Animal Hospital? During our scheduled office hours, we are available by phone at 207-729-4678. We can also be contacted through the Pet Portal system, or you can send us an e-mail directly from our website www.aahvets.com  Each veterinarian has an e-mail address, and there is a general address askme@aahvets.com .

Do I need an appointment to be seen? We see patients by appointment. Emergencies are seen immediately, but if possible we request a phone call prior to your arrival so that we can prepare. Our goal is to always be on time, but sometimes situations arise that are out of our control. We appreciate your patience and understanding when these situations arise.

Do you have a boarding Facility?  We do not routinely offer boarding, but we have a list of boarding facilities that we can provide.

How do I make an appointment? Our front desk staff would be happy to assist you in making an appointment at 207-729-4678. If you prefer to request an appointment on line, the Pet Portal system is available.

When is The Androscoggin Animal Hospital open? We are open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM  to 6:00 PM. We are open on Saturdays from 8 AM to 1 PM.

What is your payment policy? Because we are a small business, we have to require payment at the time of the visit. We accept mastercard, visa, and discovery cards. We also accept Care Credit which can be applied for at www.carecredit.com.

What Should I do if I have an Emergency? During our regularly scheduled office hours we will see any Emergency that arises. If you can call us first it will allow us to prepare for your arrival. After our regularly scheduled hours when the Doctor has left the premises, we refer our emergencies to the two local emergency clinics. The Animal Emergency Clinic of Mid Maine in Lewiston and the Animal Emergency clinic in Westbrook.

How often should my pet see the veterinarian? For the healthy young pet that has completed the puppy or kitten visits we recommend at least a yearly visit to the veterinarian. As your pet ages, it is more appropriate to schedule exams every six months. Any time you suspect illness, we recommend that you contact us as soon as possible to discuss whether an appointment should be scheduled
